Union Members may purchase additional Life Insurance Coverage in Increments of $10,000. Rates vary by age.

Employee Coverage:

Maximum purchase is $500,000. Guarantee Issue if enrolling when first eligible is $200,000.

Spouse Coverage:

Maximum purchase is 50% of employee coverage up to $100,000. Guarantee Issue if enrolling when first eligible is $30,000.

Child/Children Coverage:

Maximum purchase is $10,000 in $2,000 increments. Cost is $0.07 per $2,000 increment.

Life Benefit payable reduces by 50% for all members age 75 or older.

Benefits issued when first eligible are guarantee issue to $200,000 thereafter members wishing to increase their life insurance benefits other than when first eligible are subject to filling out an evidence of insurability form and subsequent approval by Aetna Life Insurance Company.


All rates are on a per pay period basis. An application must be submitted for all supplemental and voluntary plans. Eligibility requirements may be waived if enrolling within thirty (30) days of employment.
